Titanium Plating System
Animal Orthopaedics has developed the Titanium Plating System (Ti.P.S.), a revolutionary new system for the internal fixation of fractures and osteotomies in small animal patients.  Ti.P.S. uses color coded titanium plates and titanium alloy screws made to the highest standards of quality in the U.S.A.
Key Features:
  • Ti.P.S. plates are made from commercially pure grade 4 titanium. This unalloyed titanium is extremely resistant to corrosion and has superior biocompatibility compared to staiinless steel. Pure titanium plates have good workability and are easy to contour. In addition, Ti.P.S. plates are 45% lighter with similar strength, are significantly less stiff (which reduces stress shielding), and are more resistant to infection when compared with stainless steel.  All Ti.P.S. plates are color anodized, which increases biocompatibility and laser etched for indentification and traceability.

  • Ti.P.S. screws are manufactured from a titanium alloy that contains aluminum and vanadium (ELI grade). The alloyed titanium used to make the screws has higher tensile and yield strength and is completely biocompatible with the Ti.P.S. plates.  Ti.P.S. cortical screws are available in 1.5mm, 2.0mm, 2.7mm and 3.5mm diameters. A 4.0mm fully threaded cancellous screw is also available.
  • The Ti.P.S. plates and screws are color coded for instant identification. In addition, the appropriate drill, tap, and screw driver for each size is also color coded. This unique color coding system simplifies the process of bone plating surgery and also makes it easier to inventory and replace implants used in surgery.

Animal Orthopaedics is proud to offer the highest quality Titanium Screws on the market today.The material, Ti 6AL 4V, is the industry standard for orthopedic Titanium Screws.  These screws feature added tensile and yield strength and are produced to industry standard thread forms.

Our smaller Titanium Screws, 1.5mm and 2.0mm, feature a "Hex" head while the larger screws, 2.4mm, 2.7mm, 3.5mm and 4.0mm feature a "Hexlobular" head.
